Dancer of the Month

Our Dancer of the Month for February is in her 11th season of dance.  Hard working and focused on what is needed to improve and succeed in the craft of dance, Hadley McArthur is a balanced technician and performer.  She shows up every time!  Miss McArthur’s ballet technique has developed tremendously this year.  She is utilizing every correction and is focusing on the fine artistic elements all at once.  Her pointe work has improved so much, which is leading to some beautiful balances and smooth, graceful turns.  Embracing her character, Scottie Dog, in the ballet will give the audience a chuckle.  She is having fun with her role and even wags her imaginary tail. Hadley is a beautiful modern dancer and has grown so much in the Graham technique—not an easy task.  She continues to gain strength in her core work, which is increasing the flexibility in her spirals.  Without fear she attacks the Pretzel and Buffalo jumps. She is a very versatile performer with a great deal to handle in the 3 company pieces in which she dances.  Hadley has a powerful talent that sets her apart—she is such a well-respected and admired leader.  Miss McArthur supports her fellow dancers through thick and thin.  She leads with such grace.  Thank you, Hadley.  You are an amazing high-spirited lady!
