Our Dancer of the Month for March is in her second season of ballet and really focusing on her technique and all she needs for this year’s performance on stage.
Vivienne is working hard at the barre. Her plies are strong and with beautiful resistance. She is working the image of moving carefully down the wall, and it shows. Her rotation in tendues is improving with each class because she is attentively listening to the corrections given and applying them more and more with each class. She is able to answer every vocabulary question asked of her and knows both the French and English terms. All of her footwork in getting stronger from barre to center floor because she is using her feet correctly by working them through the floor—from degages to glissades and sautes.
For this year’s concert performance, Vivenne is doing a fabulous job retaining the choreography and performing her part in the library scene as a very special book—complete with leading her fellow dancers in a circle around Winnie the Pooh. All of this and she is also a great listener and beautiful personality to have in class.
